There are three rental apartments in this unique home located in Maya Beach, Placencia Belize. The Drunken Pelican and The Soaring Pelican are Studio apartments on the ground floor and The Diving Pelican is a 2 bedroom apartment on the second floor. All three apartments are air-conditioned and have a full kitchen equipped with a 6 Burner stove with oven, toaster oven, coffee maker, blender for smoothies or blender drinks for happy hour. Everything you need to produce a gourmet meal. There is a gas grill for guests to use and a washing machine is available.
THE SOARING PELICAN is a wonderful studio apartment with a queen size bed. Open your french doors and you are greeted to the wonderful breeze and the sound of the waves. This apartment has an open floor plan with a dinning table with seating for 4, a nicely appointed living room area with a fold-out couch that sleeps 2. It has a full bathroom with a large shower. Put on you swimsuit, enjoy a Belikin, let the vacation begin.
THE DRUNKEN PELICAN is a comfortable studio apartment with a queen size bed. It has an open floor plan with an island table with seating for 4, a nicely appointed living room area with a futon for extra sleeping space. It has a full bathroom with a large shower. Open the french doors to experience the tropical ocean breeze.
THE DIVING PELICAN is a lovely two bedroom apartment that offers a master bedroom with a queen size bed and an en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom with a queen size bed shares a bathroom in the common area. There is a wrap around porch to enjoy the sunrise in the morning, or relax in the breeze after a busy day of exploring the beauty of Belize. Open the french doors and the ocean breeze welcomes you to your tropical oasis. This apartment is a wonderful getaway for 2 couples or a family.
What's nearby and what should I explore.
Palm & Pelican is located in Maya Beach within walking distance to many wonderful restaurants including Mangos (our favorite), Green Parrot, Ceiba, and Azure De Mar. Maya Bistro, and Jaguar Lanes are a little farther away. Bake My Day Bakery and a grocery store are right down the street.
You’ll want to dine out a lot because the food here in Belize is excellent and very affordable. Placencia Village is just a 15-minute drive away, and is the place to go. In the Village check out "the sidewalk" it has lots of excellent beachfront bars, restaurants and shopping.
If you want to do some exploring there are many tour companies that will pick you up at Palm & Pelican. There are day trips available, including snorkelling, sailing, diving, hiking, exploring nearby rain forests or the ancient Mayan ruins. If you like to snorkel bring your snorkel gear, there is plenty of coral and sea life right off of the beach. For snorkelling trips we would recommend you book through Splash or Seahorse Dive Company.
